| T'ai Chi Chuan (taijiquan) is a traditional Chinese martial art, wonderful for promoting health, energy and relaxation. Its graceful yet powerful serpentine movements look very beautiful and embody the traditional Taoist philosophy of yin & yang.
There are many different styles of taijiquan, the oldest being the Chen family style, which originates from the Ming Dynasty. Our taijiquan lineage stretches back from Master Tse Wei Jing, Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang, the standard bearer of the 19th generation, to the venerable ancestor of the Chen family, Chen Wang Ting (1600-1680) who first brought taijiquan to the world.
Partner work such as peng (ground connection), chan si gong (silk reeling exercises) and tui shou (pushing hands) complements solo training in the t'ai chi forms & everyone learns at their own pace.
