Singer and the other sewing machine manufacturers made a most astonishing selection of specialist feet for their products. Straight stitch machines can be made to hem, bind, zig-zag, buttonhole and blind-hem, just by attaching the right foot and perhaps a plate or two. Some of these attachments are considerably more trouble than doing the same job with skill or practice, but some are definitely worth the bother. I have made thousands of buttonholes with my buttonhole foot, and had hours of fun and frustration learning to use the other attachments. I have almost a complete collection, and usually have a good selection for sale. If you can't see what you want here, please ask, as I get them in all the time....
Unless stated, all the following will fit Singers and most other low-shank side-clamping machines. If you aren't sure - ASK!
