Painter/embroiderer/textile artist

After training as a painter at Goldsmiths College of Art, Ann became increasingly interested in working in textiles.
Her work is largely based on the free interpretation of landscape, working intuitively from observation and imagination; using fabric combined with paint, hand-stitching and other varied components.
She is a member of E.D.G.E. - Textile Artists Scotland, and has exhibited with this group and the Embroiderers' Guild.
Her work is featured in The Encyclopedia of Embroidery Techniques, by Pauline Brown (1994) and A Source Book of Ideas, by Pauline Brown (2001).
