Anita Faithfull
Textile artist
Anita's range of silk waistcoats, jackets and wall panels demonstrate her keen interest in naturally occuring colours and the tensions they produce.
Her pieces are painted, dyed and printed, and then embroidered, resulting in a broad spectrum of vibrant hues and tones.
One particular technique she uses is Shibori, the Japanese art of resist dyeing.
Anita studied at the Manchester School of Art, and is also trained in Tailoring and Fashion Design.
She continues to inspire students on a wide variety of textile arts and craft courses.
Anita is a member of The Suffolk Craft Society, The Guild of Silk Painters, Silk Artists Suffolk and Suffolk Open Studios.
