I have been interested in the visual arts all my life and am never happier than when working with a sketchbook in my hand.
The visual world is a never ending source of inspiration, especially when conjoined with the world of ideas - poetry, story, history and the sciences.
Textile art, with the opportunities it offers for employing different sequences of techniques (for example, dyeing, printing, cutting and stitching) suits the way my work evolves from core themes.
Sometimes I am so excited by projects that I can't sleep at night!
I am available to run felt making workshops for adults and shorter practical sessions on a variety of topics for interested societies and guilds, including making and using sketchbooks.
Most of my work is for sale and may be commissioned.
