Joan Maynard
Textile artist
Joan holds City and Guilds Creative Embroidery Parts 1 and 2. She has recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Textiles at South Nottingham College, and as part of her course researched the decorative textiles of India. This, plus a trip to India with the Embroiderers' Guild, is providing inspiration for her present work, with a particular interest in recycling, and combining metal and fibre elements to produce self-supporting structures.
She is a member of The Embroiderers' Guild, and The International Feltmakers Association
