Natural habitat and forces of nature are inspirational to Sylvia.
Her work, which is usually 3-dimensional, includes soft leather, hand-dyed fabric, and silk and wool threads.
Sylvia has been involved in creating local church embroideries, most recently for St. Botolph's, Culpho; and All Saints', Little Bealings.
She holds Parts I and II City and Guilds Embroidery and runs a local embroidery group. She has also recently joined "Ragtime", a rugmaking group.
