Embellished Landscape Class - Supply List

Embellished Landscape ClassOne Day

Please bring:-

Sewing machine with walking foot and darning (free-motion) foot, with the manual and all your tools.

A piece of white cotton fabric or pre-washed calico 15 inches by the width of the fabric. This is your foundation, so should be plain.

You need quite a lot of different fabrics for this class - bring at least 20 different sorts, in naturalistic or impressionistic colours. Start with a good range of cotton fabrics, then add the more exotic pieces from your stash, such as organza, silk, shiny fabrics etc. Hand-dyes and batiks are particularly nice for landscapes. You will need quite a lot of fabric for the Faux chenille and so on - these can be fabrics you want to "use up"... Don't forget that you will need some "sky". Make sure you have a variety of scale in your prints.
I will bring some supplies, including transfer foils and net pieces for the Trash-bag quilting

1/2 metre of Bondaweb or similar "fusible web"
Usual sewing kit - pins, pretty threads, scissors, rotary cutter and ruler. If you have a chenille cutter, please bring it, but this is not essential.
Oddments of thin (cotton) batting.

One day, £25.00 per person;
Two days, £45.00 per person.
