Price includes the fibreglass for the outer edge, bias binding, and the makings for the tassell..
Calico or sheeting to make the foundation - a large piece (approx 1-1/4 metres) or 5 pieces around fat quarter size - these will not be seen so can be old fabric, washed and ironed
Fabrics to piece the spiral - the sample is shown with squares, but you can also make other patterns - you need lots of cotton scraps in a variety of colours. You can save a lot of time by pressing fabrics before class.
Thread:- 100% cotton thread in a neutral colour to go with your fabrics.
Sewing tools:- the usual pins, scissors, etc. You should have a rotary cutter, cutting mat, and a quilter's ruler.
Sewing machine:- Nothing fancy, all you need is straight stitch and a standard and a zip foot. Please make sure that you bring the manual, put in a fresh needle, and wind a bobbin before you come.
