Technique(s):
Screen printed monotype with negative stencil. Machine pieced and appliqued. Machine stitch, free-motion quilted, walking-foot quilted. Procion dyed. Recycled and dyed bits of quilt edges. Corded edge.
Sewing Machine(s): Berninas, treadle and electric.
Materials:
Cotton and linen fabric; screen-printing ink and Procion dyes; handmade and commercial cords; cotton batting.
Inspiration:
All bask in the sun. Leaves unfurl, trees drink, bulbs bloom, babbits birth, cats sun themselves on elderly pallets. More red than orange, more warmth than chill, more growth, more time, more light...
