Pieced - free-cut and reassembled, machine stitch, free-motion quilted, walking-foot quilted. Hand-made cord.
Sewing Machine(s): Berninas, treadle and electric.
Materials:
Cotton fabric with monoprint - made on a glass sheet with thickened Procion dye. Commercial batik tree and back. Quilter's Dream Request cotton batting. Random-dyed commercial chenille hand-made cord edge.
Inspiration:
Part of a series which has captured my mind this Winter, I have made many of these, large and small. This piece of monoprinted fabric was from earlier in 2006, and looked so much like foliage that it was almost inevitable...
